Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-09-17.
The short version. There are no accounts, and the model runs on your machine. Your scenarios, parameter values, saved workspaces and chart layouts never leave your browser — I have no way to see them and no database that could hold them. What follows explains the small number of things that do involve a network.
1. What I do not collect. I do not collect names, email addresses, passwords or payment details, because there is nothing on the Site that asks for them. I do not collect your model inputs, your saved workspaces, or your chart layouts. I do not set advertising cookies, do not track you across other sites, and do not sell or share personal information.
2. What your browser stores locally. Your parameter values, saved
workspaces and their names, chart grid layout, favorited charts, and interface
preferences are kept in your browser's local storage, under keys beginning
mmf:. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted. You can erase
all of it at any time by clearing site data for MonsterModels.live in your
browser settings; doing so resets the Site to its defaults and cannot be
undone.
3. Shared links. When you create a shared link, the parameters are compressed and encoded into the URL itself. Nothing is stored on any server — the link carries the scenario, and whoever opens it reconstructs the scenario locally. Two consequences worth understanding. (i) Anyone you give the link to can see the scenario it encodes. (ii) Because the scenario lives in the URL rather than in a request body, it may appear in places URLs ordinarily appear — browser history, referrer headers, chat and email logs, and the logs of any network intermediary. Treat a shared link as public.
4. Analytics. The Site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and understand which pages are visited. It records aggregate usage, sets no cookies, and does not track visitors across other sites or build profiles of them. It does not see your model inputs.
5. Server logs. The Site is hosted on Vercel, which records ordinary request logs as a function of serving pages — including IP address, user agent, and the URL requested. This is standard hosting infrastructure and is not used to identify or profile visitors. Retention is governed by Vercel's own policies.
6. Requests your browser makes to third parties. Two of the live readouts in the navigation bar are fetched directly by your browser, which means those services receive your IP address and user agent in the ordinary course of serving the request:
- Coinbase (
api.coinbase.com) — the Bitcoin spot price. - mempool.space — the current Bitcoin block height.
Neither request carries any information about you or your scenario beyond what any web request carries. Their handling of it is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Equity quotes are different, and deliberately so. Those are fetched by the Site's own server rather than by your browser, so the upstream quote provider sees the server and not you.
7. Fonts. Typefaces are bundled and served from the Site's own domain at build time. Your browser makes no request to any font provider.
8. Children. The Site is not directed to children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. If you are in the EEA or United Kingdom. The limited processing described above — server logs and aggregate analytics — rests on my legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site and understanding its use. Because no accounts exist and nothing here identifies you, I generally hold no personal data about you that I could retrieve, correct, or delete on request. If you believe I do, contact me and I will look into it. You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
10. Changes. If this policy changes, the effective date above will change. Material changes will be noted on this page.
11. Contact. Questions about privacy: reach me through the contact page.
